A highly interactive and informative workshop on "Conservation of Plants and Animals" was conducted by Pratap Vidya Mandir English Medium School on 9th October 2024, Wednesday. The resource Person of the seminar was Mr. Vijay G. Shirsath, Forest Guard (Vaijapur) and a wild life photographer.
The workshop was based on NEP 2020 which aims at Panchakosha system of learning.
The seminar began with the welcome address of Miss.Akshara Monesh Paliwal of Class 8,followed by Principal's address to the students of Classes 6, 7 & 8.
The main objective of the seminar was bio-diversity which covers all sorts of living organisms from insects to the mammals of the forest.The seminar aims at enhancing the importance of conserving bio-diversity.The Forest officer opined that Without a wide range of animals, plants and microorganisms, we cannot have the healthy ecosystem.
It was an informative workshop which took the students deep into the life of flora and fauna. Students were acquainted with different species of wildlife and its Students were also given a live demo of tracking the animals in the forest sector.
Towards the end, students were given the chance of interaction, where they came forward with variety of questions related to the forest life.
Altogether,it was a wonderful seminar organised by the school as a part of Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation.
The workshop came to an end with the vote of thanks by Master Divyesh Yogesh Patil of Class 8.
